Cranberry Sauce

Servings: 2 cups
 
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup cranberry liqueur
2 cups fresh or thawed frozen cranberries
 
1. In a deep 2 quart casserole dish, combine sugar, water and cranberry liqueur.
2. Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH for 4:00-5:00 or until boiling, stirring once or twice to dissolve sugar.
3. Syrup should be clear.
4. Stir in cranberries.
5. Cover loosely with waxed paper and microwave on HIGH for 5:00 or until skins on cranberries pop, stirring once.
6. Uncover and microwave on MEDIUM HIGH for 15:00 or until thickened or desired consistency, stirring once.
7. Cover and refrigerate.
